Carroll Leadership in Technology Magnet Middle School |
Good Afternoon Carroll Cougars! This is your principal, Ms. Keech with this week’s announcements. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo Email Group.
Carroll families, last week unfortunately, we had several incidents in which there was a misuse of the internet by students. Although none of these incidents took place on campus, they were still addressed immediately and to the full extent. Please be aware that we took each incident very seriously and applied all Wake County School Board policies and NC law that was appropriate. Student safety is our number one priority and we will not tolerate any communication that is bullying/harrassment, threatening or could possibly be perceived as a threat. We urge you to please monitor your child’s internet use at home at all times. In addition, we would like for you to continue to encourage your child to keep their electronics at home or put up and in the off position. Please note any electronics out in school will be confiscated and a parent or guardian will have to come and pick it up. Tomorrow night (Tuesday, February 12) will be our STEM night. Please come out and take a look at all the really cool things that our students are doing through STEM. The event will be from 6:00-7:00. Don’t forget that Friday is an early release. Students will be dismissed at 11:45. Staff will be participating in staff development at that time and will not be available for conferences or meetings. We want to give a shoutout to our fabulous Science Olympiad team for their participation in last Saturday’s county-wide Science Olympiad. We received a 5th place recognition in the “Sound of Music” category. Our students competed against teams from middle schools not only located in wake county, but private and charter too. Sanderson is having it’s open house for rising 9th graders this Tuesday night from 6:30-8:30. Please continue to monitor our google calendar for upcoming events and sports. Please also make sure that you register to be a volunteer. Testing season is coming up and we will need all of the volunteers that we can get to help administer state required exams. Registration can be done on Mondays in any Wake county school. That’s all for now! Goooooooooo Cougars!

This was not an actual threat I apologize to anyone affected by this incident it was a misuses on my part by reataliating towards certain individuals. But the bomb threat wasn't from me it was from another student and I was not convicted of doing it. I hope someone could talk to this student about his action towards me. I only wanted to shut down people's Facebook nothing else. Have a good day and thank you for reading this
