Good Afternoon Carroll Cougars! This is your principal, Ms. Keech, with this week's announcements. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo Email Group.
Parents, please continue to remind your students about dress code, tardies and behavior the last 10 days of school. We are planning a number of events and special activities that your child could be in danger of not being able to participate in if they have violated (or continue to violate) our procedures and practices. Excessive tardies, continued dress code violations (shorts or skirts too short, tank tops for girls need to be at least two fingers wide, no tank tops for boys, blankets, pajamas, slippers, slides and etc) could equal an ISS or OSS assignment. We need your continued support to make sure that the last few days of school are still solely focused on academics.
Yearbooks are on sale now for $28. Cash and checks are accepted. Tell your child to bring their money to Ms. Madrid (who will be set up in the mornings before school in front of the gym). These are great yearbooks this year and at a reasonable price. So don't forget to purchase your yearbook so that you will have a record of your memories.
Parents, along with our June 4th STEM night coming up, we have a number of other events, recognitions and award ceremonies. Please make sure that you are reviewing our Google Calendar (located on our webpage) for upcoming activities.
That's all for now! Gooooooo Cougars!

Parents, this week we will be conducting our state mandated testing program (EOGs, and Measures of Student Learning). Please make sure that your child gets enough rest, eats a good breakfast and is on time each day. Please also be careful to not check them out early during the testing time window. Every minute counts.
Yearbooks are on sale now for 28$. Cash and checks are accepted. Tell your student to bring their money to Ms. Madrid (room 1401) to place an order. Ms. Madrid will also have a table set up next week in front of the gym for orders. Don't miss out on getting a record of your memories.
School will be closed on Monday, May 27th in recognition of Memorial Day.
That's all for now! Go Cougars!

Parents, by now you should have all received an assignment slip indicating the school in which your child has been assigned to for next year. If not, please check your child's book bag for any forgotten information.
Please also check to see that if your child has brought home a home language request form, that you have reviewed it, filled it out and had your child to return it to the guidance office. It is due by tomorrow May 14th.
Next week we will be conducting the main portion of our EOG testing beginning May 20th. Please make sure that your child is getting enough rest each night during our EOGs and eating a good breakfast each morning. Please also remember to make sure that they are on time and present each day until the last day of school on June 10th.
We are still looking for parents to volunteer to help us administer our state mandated EOG program. Please come in to the front office and speak to Ms. Stanley if you are interested in helping.
Parents please help us out by checking your childs clothing each day and making sure that they are complying with the district dress code expectations. Please also make sure to check their pockets for any electronics that they should not be taking to school or wearing during school hours (head phones).
That's all for now. Gooooooo Cougars!

Parents please be advised that students should be coming home with their Interim Reports by Friday of this week. Students should have also already brought home their assignment slips for next year. Please contact your child's counselor or teacher if you have any questions about either notice.
Carroll families our music program had a wonderful concert last night for our 6th and 7th grade. Please make sure that you don't miss our 8th grade when its their turn tomorrow night (Thursday, May 9th) to perform.
Parents and students please remember that this is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please make sure that you show appreciation to your teachers for all of the hard work and care that they give each and every day. We also want to thank our wonderful PTA for the absolutely fantastic staff luncheon that they provided for us on Tuesday. You guys rock!
Please remember that if you have not signed up to volunteer yet this year, it is not too late. We still need proctors for our state mandated EOG testing program (coming up the week of May 20th). Please sign up to volunteer and register in our volunteer registration system on Monday. That's all for now! Gooooooo Cougars!

On Friday, May 3rd our 8th graders will be going on their STEM field trip to Carowinds.
Also on Friday, May 3rd all picture packets or money are due. Please remember that if the package is not turned in or not paid for, the student's school account will be charged just like when they don't turn in a missing/overdue library book.
Carroll families, we still need more volunteers to help us administer the state mandated EOGs. Please come and register to volunteer and sign up to help us complete our testing program.
