Please check our website for your assigned time. We sent home all the paperwork that you need to bring with you. Additional copies will be available if you do not have them. Carpool parents please remember to follow our procedures for drop-off in the mornings. We had a number of cars stopping in the middle of the road on Rowan this morning, turning around in the road and in the bank parking lot across the street. This created traffic problems not only for Rowan but for Six Forks also. Please note that you are subject to city traffic violations if not following the law. Parents, please also note that it will be a lot colder this week and if you are dropping your child off early or picking them up late, they could suffer from extreme temperatures as we do not have supervision before 7 and after 2:30. Please arrange for your child to be picked up by 2:30 each day and do not drop them off before 7:00 am. Carroll families, you should have received a notice prior to our vacation that our Roll-out date for the tablets is Jan. 20th. Please put this on your calendar. Parents and students must attend in order to receive their tablet. We want to say a big thank you to all of our families who participated in our band fundraiser at Applebees and the Giving Tree Project. We appreciate all that you do for us. We have a number of events and activities this week. Please check our Google Calendar located on our website for dates and times. That's all for now! Goooooooo Cougars! Carpool families. Again I am pleading, please follow our car-pool policies and procedures for traffic flow. The procedures have been put in place for the safety and security of your children. When you do not follow the procedures (because you think they are stupid) you are sending the same message to your children (who the next time you direct them to follow one of your rules or procedures -that they think is stupid-they may mirror the same behavior that have seen you exhibit in the mornings with us.) Our first basketball games of the season are today at North Garner. I know that you join me in wishing all of our student athletes good luck. This Thursday, December the 4th at 6:30, we will be hosting our PTA meeting in the media center. On Saturday, December 6th from 7:30-11:00 am, our Band and Strings program will be holding a Pancake Breakfast Fund-raiser at Applebee's on Six Forks Road. We hope to see you all there.
