Cougar Families, your child will be coming home with their report card tomorrow. Please make sure that you review it with your child.
Tomorrow night Tuesday, Jan. 28th we will be hosting a McTeacher's Night at McDonalds at 4212 Wake Forest Rd. This is a big PTA fund-raiser for us and we hope to see you there.
Don't forget that on February 7th we will be holding our HUGE Parent vs. Staff Basketball Bash. Come one - come all to see your teachers and parents in action. Food, games and prizes galore!
Parents please remember that you must arrive before 2:00pm each day if you wish to check your child out early. Anyone who arrives after 2:00 will have to wait until 2:15 for your child to be released.
Cougar families, please also remember that any major weather events and school schedule interruptions or changes will be announced on local media stations, and the district website. Please monitor the radio and TV news stations for information. Please also note that any weather coming in during a school day may effect after-school events and activities.

This Wednesday, Jan. 15th, we will be holding our Magnet Open House at 9:00 and 12:00 in our auditorium for prospective parents and students.
Carroll Families, please do not forget that we will be having an Early Release this Friday, Jan. 17th at 11:45. Students must either ride the bus or have a way home by 11:45. There will not be any supervision available for them due to all staff participating in professional development. Please also note that staff will not be available for conferences at that time. We will also not be in school on Monday , Jan. 20th in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Tuesday, the 21st will be a Teacher workday. Students will return on Wednesday, Jan.21st to begin the new semester.
Parents please review our dress code expectations with your children. Leggings, jeggings or any other leg wear that appears to be tights is in violation of our dress code. Students may wear dresses,skirts or shorts over them but they must still meet our finger-tip requirement. Students in violation of our dress code will be directed to student services to change, or call someone to bring them a change of appropriate clothing.
Please also remember that your children look to you as an example of doing what is right. Please abide by all school rules and requests for guest behavior,traffic patterns and general school expectations.

Many of you may have already received the following message:Currently, Due to forecast record cold temperatures, Wake County schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 7. Please make sure that your children are dressed warmly as it will still be bitterly cold prior to their arrival to school. Our students will follow an abbreviated C day schedule upon their arrival to school tomorrow, with Friday becoming the B-day.
Parents please remember that as we get further into our winter season and your child gets sick, according to Wake County School Board Policies and procedures, your child must remain fever and vomit free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Don't forget that this Thursday and Friday (Jan. 9th and 10th) we will be holding our "Winter Showcase" presented by the CMMS Theater Club. Performances will begin each night at 7:00pm in the Carroll Auditorium with the concession stand open during intermission. Tickets are $4.00 and may be purchased at the door.
