Would you like a spring picture of your child? Well, you are in luck! Spring Pictures are being taken this Thursday, May 1st (this is a re-schedule from the March 18th date). Parents of 8th graders, don't forget, the 8th grade field trip to Engineering Day at Carowinds is this Friday, May 2nd. Please make sure that you have your child here on time and pick them up on time when they return. It's finally here! Carroll Middle's production of "Willy Wonka" is this Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd at 7:00pm in our Auditorium. Tickets are $6.00 at the door and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Ticket sales will begin at 6:15 and doors will open at 6:30. Calling all Volunteers! We need you! Yes you! Please come and help us proctor our EOGs/EOCs. Come one, come all. If you have not registered to volunteer, don't worry - our registration system is open every Monday, just come in or call our front desk if interested and we will get you signed up. Carroll Families, please remind your children that even though we are nearing the end of school, they still need to follow all of our procedures and expectations for dress code and tardies. We would hate for any of our students to miss out on any of the great events that are coming up at the end of the year because of non-compliance. That's all for now! Gooooooo Cougars!

On April 25th will be holding our last all-school dance for the year. It is being sponsored by our Athletics Department. The dance will be in the gym from 2:30-5:30. Please make sure that your child has a way home at 5:30 or they could be prohibited from participating in the next after school activity. Tickets will be sold beginning tomorrow morning (April 22nd) before school. Students must have no ISS or OSS. Don't forget that we are still conducting our Penny Wars. Penny Wars will be on-going through Friday, April 25th. Any money collected will help our PTA fund our PBIS prize store. Calling all volunteers! We need proctors for our upcoming State mandated testing program. Testing will begin on May 30th this year. Please sign up to volunteer if you have not already. The volunteer registration site is open every Monday. If you haven't had an opportunity yet, check out our new twitter feed! We also have the honor of being Wake County's Twitter Feed background. Check us out! Again please remind your children about our dress code and the importance of getting to class on time every day, each period. We want to finish the year strong and make sure that every minute is spent on academics. That's all for now! Gooooooo Cougars! Good Afternoon Carroll Cougar Leaders! Parents, please review with your child our dress code. It is getting warmer now and the shorts and skirts are coming back out. Please check your children before they leave the house and make sure that shorts and skirts are meeting the finger tips, tops are within our guidelines and pants are not sagging. It is alot easier if you check it before they get here versus you having to come and bring a change of clothing. As of now, report cards will be sent home with students tomorrow (Tuesday, April 15th). Also tomorrow, we will be conducting our rising 6th grade Open house from 6-7:30. This is for all current 5th grade families who are designated to come to Carroll next year. We will be holding our first home track meet tomorrow (if the weather is good). So make sure you come and support our cougar track team. On Thursday, April 17th from 6-7 we will be holding our annual Talent Show in the auditorium. So get ready for a night of some amazing talent! Calling all parents! We need volunteers! We need volunteers to come and help us proctor our state testing program coming up quickly at the end of May and the first of June. Please register to volunteer if you haven't already. Volunteer registration is open every Monday. Please don't forget that we will have a holiday this Friday, April 18th so there will not be school for students and staff on Friday. However, we will have a snow make-up day next Monday, April 21st and all students and staff will be in school. That's all for now! Gooooooo Cougars! Good Morning Carroll Cougar Leaders! This is an important announcement from your principal Ms. Keech. We will not be issuing report cards today due to a printing issue with Powerschool. NC Department of Public Instruction and Pearson are working on this issue. We fully expect for the issue to be resolved by Tuesday at the latest.

And, speaking of the end....we need volunteers! Please come and help us out during our testing program beginning on June 2nd and running through June 6th. If you have not registered to volunteer, you can still do this every Monday. We need your help. PTA will be sponsoring a Dine Out this Wed., April 9th from 5-9 at the PDQ on the corner of Falls of Neuse and Spring Forest. Parents, report cards will be coming home on Friday, April11th. Parents of 8th graders, don't forget that the deadline for turning in the 8th grade permission slip for the Carowinds field trip is April 11th (this Friday).
