Carroll Families, as I am sure you are aware, EOG testing began today. Please be aware that students can not be checked out until after 12:00 each day during testing. Please also be aware that lunches will begin later, not starting until 11:45 each day. Make sure that your child is getting a good breakfast each morning and plenty of rest the night before. We will also post our testing schedule on the front page of our website tomorrow for reference. We are also asking the students leave all electronics at home or if they must bring them to school, to lock them in their lockers before coming into the classroom. That's all for now! Goooooooo Cougars!

Carroll families we need your help! We need volunteers to please, please help us out in proctoring our EOG exams. The EOG dates have changed to Tues, May 26th, Wednesday, May 27th and Thursday, May 28th. Please contact Ms. Stanley in our front office at 919-881-1370 if interested in volunteering. Parents as it continues to warm up, please review with your children our dress code located in the front of their agendas and on our website. It is always helpful if you can check their clothing prior to leaving the house so that no one is put in the embarrassing position of getting a phone call home for proper clothing. Please also review with your child (especially with the all important EOGs coming up) the importance of being on time to class and school. Our students need to take advantage of every minute of instruction possible. We have a number of awards assemblies and special events coming up. Please make sure that you continue to check our Google Calendar located on the front page of our website for upcoming events and activities. That's all for now! Goooooooooo Cougars! Don't forget that this is "Teacher Appreciation Week". If you would like to thank a teacher, we have provided a link on our website for you to write them a note that will be sent to them in the form of an electronic greeting card. We won the Tuba! We want to thank everyone who participated in the Facebook competition and "liked" our video. We ended up with 3,236 "likes" with our closest competitor with 3,117. Carroll families the EOG dates have been changed to May 26th, 27th and 28th. We desperately need volunteers to help us proctor these state required exams. Please contact Ms. Stanley at our front desk if you are interested in volunteering. This Friday, May 8th our Cougar Band will be holding our first annual "Band-a-thon" from 2:30-5:30. If you have a child in band, please see them or Ms. Rackley for further details. Students who have Ms. Courtney Harris, please note that if you have been registered to be Red Cross Certified through her class, the cards have been delayed. As soon as the cards come in, Ms. Harris will deliver them to your first period class. Parents, please make sure that you are here before 2:00 pm if you wish for your child to be released early for an appointment. After 2:00 pm, you will be asked to wait until our dismissal time of 2:15. Thank you for understanding the demands of getting all of students out safely and in an orderly manner each day. Parents (and especially 8th grade parents), please also make sure that you are checking our website and google calendar for any special events coming up. That's all for now! Gooooooooooo Cougars! |
