Carroll Leadership in Technology Magnet Middle School |
Good Afternoon Carroll Cougar Leaders! This is your principal, Ms. Keech with this week's announcements. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo email group and posted on our website under Keech's corner.
Carroll families please do not forget that we could use as much help as possible with our state standardized testing program (otherwise know as EOGs/EOCs and Finals) beginning next Monday, June 2nd and running through Friday, June 6th. See Ms. Stanley at our front desk. Carpool parents, please remember to follow carpool traffic procedures for when you are dropping off your children in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon. The left hand lane at the top of the carpool line (off of Rowan near the track) has been blocked off in order to prohibit left hand turns. You will find maps located on our website to help you navigate the traffic pattern and provide you with our procedures. Due to the continued disregard of our patterns (implemented for safety and efficiency) by some of our families, we have contacted RPD, Raleigh City Department of Transportation and WCPSS security. There will be no more warnings. Please help us be effecient and keep all of our students safe. Parents as we get closer to the end of school, it becomes increasingly more and more important to review with your children our expectations for their behavior and academic performance. Please review with your children our dress code (located on our website if your child has lost their agenda) and emphasize the importance of them coming to school prepared and on time to all of their classes. We want to finish strong this year and we need your help. The rest of this message is for 8th grade families. The 8th grade dance will be held on Friday, June 6th from 5:30-8 and volunteers are needed from 5-9. The 8th grade Awards (please remember that family attendance is by invitation only this year) and Picnic will be Wed. June 11 from 9am-1pm. PTA needs donations of cookies, chips, waterbottles, ziploc sandwich bags and money to purchase items. Parents will be in AM carpool on Wed. June 4th and Thurs. June 5th to collect items. Any questions pertaining to the dance or the picnic please contact Shannon Butkus. That's all for now! Goooooooo Cougars!
