Carpool parents, beginning after the holiday break, we will be implementing a new traffic pattern. There will be cones placed at the top of the carpool line preventing a left hand turn off of Rowan. If you are unsure about how to proceed through carpool, there is a carpool tab on our website with instructions and maps for you to follow. On Tuesday, December 17th (tomorrow) we will be hosting our Winter music concert in our Auditorium. Strings will play at 6:00, with the band beginning at 7:00. 6th grade parents, we will be conducting a 6th grade "Booster Panel" this Wed. Dec. 18th beginning at 4:00 in our media center. At this time, parents will have an opportunity to hear about vital information that will help with your child's academics, social and emotional success in middle school. Panel participants will include teacher representatives from each team, the 6th grade counselor, administrator and a PTA representative. Specific items that will be addressed: homework requirements, Homebase (Parent Portal), time management/study skills and academic/social/emotional support. Parents as winter break is rapidly approaching, I want to remind you (especially since after the break many of our students may be tempted to bring things that they received as gifts) to review our procedures and policies with your children pertaining to dress code, electronics, sporting goods, and other items that are not needed or allowed at school. And speaking of winter break....School closes this Friday, December 20th with students returning to school on Thursday, January 2nd. We hope that everyone will have a wonderful, safe and relaxing break. That's all for now! Gooooooooo Cougars!
