Carroll Leadership in Technology Magnet Middle School |
Good Afternoon Carroll Cougar Leaders! This is your principal, Ms. Keech with the last scheduled weekly announcement for the year. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo email group and posted on our website under Keech's Corner.
Parents, please remind your children that all school rules still apply all the way to the last day of school. Students are still subject to WCPSS discipline consequences (out of school suspensions) and state law. We want all of our students to finish the year strong, be able to participate in all the fun events planned and not be suspended or even arrested by the Wake County Sheriff's office or RPD for unacceptable behavior. Book bags, string bags and other large bags are not permitted at school this Wednesday and Thursday. Large bags will be confiscated. All bags and packages are subject to search on school property. Parents we also wish to notify you of a new bus change for next year. Any students who are currently walking to school and will need to take a bus next year, will need to go on the district website and register for a bus by the end of July. Please go to the link on the front page of our website for bus information. Cougar families, don't forget that tomorrow night is our STEM-LEAD night. This will be our last opportunity this year to celebrate and see all of the great things our students have been doing. The night will begin at 5:30 with a Food Truck Rodeo. Hope to see you all there! The following two announcements are for 8th grade parents only: 8th grade parents, the 8th grade Field Day and Picnic will be this Wed. June 11 from 11-1pm. We are in need of packaged cookies for the 8th grade celebration . Please send them in to our front office or to Ms. Butkus. Also, for those students who will be attending Sanderson High School next year, Sanderson will be hosting their 9th grade orientations on July 23rd and 24th. More details can be located on Carroll's and Sanderson's websites. We have enjoyed this year and working with all of our Cougar families and are looking forward to their return next fall with some big surprises! Have a great summer break!

Good afternoon Carroll Cougar Leaders! This is your principal, Ms. Keech with this week's announcements. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo Email group and posted on our website under Keech's Corner.
Carroll families, please do not forget that this is EOG week. We just took our first test today and will be testing all week. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest and eats breakfast each day. Please also make sure that they arrive on time to school and are not checked out for any appointments each day until after 1:00. We have also asked for students to either leave their cell phones at home each day or lock them in their lockers before coming to their testing locations. We would hate for a phone to go off and cause a mis-administration, possibly requiring students to re-take the test. And speaking of EOGs, we could still use more help with our testing program. If you have not already signed up with Ms. Stanley to lend us a hand, please do so ASAP! Don't forget that our STEM -LEAD night is also rapidly approaching. Come and see all of the great work that your students have been doing this year on June 10th at 6:00pm. The following announcements are for 8th grade families only: Our 8th grade dance will be held this Friday, June 6th from 5:30-8:00pm. Volunteers are needed from 5:15-8:15pm. The 8th grade picnic will be Wed. June 11 from 11:15am -1:30pm. The PTA is in desperate need of donations of : cookies, chips, waterbottles, ziploc sandwich bags and money to purchase items. Parents will be in the AM car-pool on Wed. June 4th and Thurs. June 5th to collect items. Any questions please contact Shannon Butkus at [email protected]. Please also check yahoo group for Signup Genius - we need your help. That's all for now! Gooooooooo Cougars! |
