Good afternoon Carroll Cougars! This is your principal, Ms. Keech with this week's announcements. A copy of this transcript will be shared through the Carroll Yahoo email group.
Parents, this evening we are highlighting some of our wonderful talent here at Carroll. Our Talent showcase is from 5-6pm and tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Please be aware that you must pick up your child at 6:00 pm. There will not be any supervision after 6:00 pm. If your child is left here after 6, they will not be allowed to attend any other after school events for the remainder of the year. Wednesday morning, March 27th we will be recognizing our students who have received a nomination for demonstrating good character from their teachers at our monthly CCC Breakfast. We will begin a t 7:45 am in our cafeteria. Remember that Wednesday is our last day of school before our students' Spring Break. Thursday is a teacher workday in which our teachers will be participating in staff development and not available for parent conferences. Friday is a holiday. And to kick off the holiday, make sure that you go to Skinny Dip Frozen Yogurt Bar from noon-9:00pm Wednesday, March 27th. 20% of their proceeds will be donated back to CMS PTA. Families of our 8th grade students- we have planned a fantastic STEM related field trip to Carowinds. The deadline for all permission slips and monies to be handed in is April 8th. As the permission packet sent home almost a month ago indicated, the cost of the trip is $65.00 per student. The cost covers both the charter bus and the park entrance fee. Please remember that if we are unable to collect enough money by April 8th, we will have to cancel the field trip and all collected money will be returned. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Spring Break and we look forward to our students' return on Monday, April the 8th. That's all for now. Goooooo Cougars!

If you are parking in the bank parking lot across the street and having your children cross over after school, you are parking on private property. We have been asked by the bank to remind you of this and warn you of the possibility of trespassing charges taken out by the private property owners. We are still registering volunteers. Each Monday our volunteer registration system is open for new registrations. If you registered last year you still must re-register each year. With state testing coming up soon, we will need all the help we can get so please volunteer today. And even though we encourage our students to be accountable for their own work (we already completed middle school right?), continue to monitor SPAN periodically for your child's discipline, attendance and grades.
